We support our students by supporting our teachers

Being a teacher is never easy, but the past few years have been tougher than usual for teachers and school staff. As a way to show our appreciation for the dedication of the teachers and staff at Lakewood Elementary, the PTA dedicates a significant amount of our resources on teacher appreciation. This includes:

A Teacher & Staff Care Cart - Throughout the year, we send around a cart loaded with snacks and beverages for all of our teachers and staff

End of Year & Holiday Gift Cards - Twice a year we purchase gift cards for our teachers and give them with notes of appreciation

Teacher Reimbursements - We know our teachers spend a lot of their money making up the gap between what our schools are able to supply and what they need to teach at their highest level. The PTA reimburses their purchases as much as we are able. 

Notes of Appreciation - Throughout the year we give our teachers notes of appreciation. We encourage our families and community to write notes at any time.

Any purchased items can be dropped off at Lakewood Elementary School M-F 8am - 2pm.  Just let a staff member know you are for the care cart.
