Board Bios

Shereese Daniels - President

I am a Lakewood almuni and product of Durham public schools. I graduated from Hillside High School. I am a mother of 4 kids who all attend(ed) Durham Public schools. My sons Ahmad and Ibrahim are currently at Lakewood. Ahmad is in Kindergarten with Mrs Anderson and Ibrahim is in 5th with Mrs.Paolini. Ibrahim has been at Lakewood since Kindergarten. I have two older children, one who graduated SCS in 2019 and one graduating JHS in June. I am also a mom of a child on the autism spectrum. Lakewood is a great school and I'm very happy to be a part of all the positive change we can make together. Go Bulldogs!

Gina Arnone - Vice President

My name is Gina Arnone and my son, Sebastian Soto, is a rising second-grader. I'm also mom to future Bulldog, Emmanuel. I'm an education researcher, and I stay connected with my community through various volunteer roles. I also love watching and playing soccer with my family, hiking, and dancing tango. I served as Vice President of the Lakewood PTA during the 2021-2022 year and look forward to serving one more year.

Jasmine Cradle - Secretary

My name is Jasmine Arielle Cradle. I have a rising 2nd grader by the name of Tru Redick, in the Dual Immersion Program. I am currently an EC-IA at Morehead Montessori Magnet Elementary, where I teach K-1st grade. My passions include teaching, dancing, and DIY projects! I look forward to serving on the PTA board and hope to have an impact on the Lakewood Elementary School community.

Beth Cranford - Treasurer

My name is Beth Cranford and my son Jesse is a rising First Grader at Lakewood. Professionally, I’m an environmental educator so I love spending time outside with my family or students. I served as Vice President of the Lakewood PTA during the 2021-2022 year. I’m excited to continue meeting folks in the Lakewood community and making sure that our PTA finances are in order!
